Nuts. Reinstalled, run the engine several times, battery charging at 14.4V when the engine is above idle. Nothing. Arg. What to do? I just recharged the battery for about 10hrs until fully loaded so it definitely needed it but now I really do not know what to do. New battery? New rectifier? I have no evidence of malfunction anywhere other than the battery needed recharging. That would be the end of the story except the smell of burning wires the day before the battery went dead. Something is about to fail but what? Ideas?
...however I am not buying it, it must be failing. I bet the vibration age is breaking loose the connections inside the sink and eventually it will just blow for good. Will try to measure it under vibration to see if I catch it failing...stay tuned
