Latest info. Neurology Dr will do surgery tomorrow. He was surprised that she had no other injury considering how badly the L 2 vertebrae was smashed. They will have to pick out all the fragments of bone. It will be a delicate surgery. He couldn't guarantee that she wouldn't have some residule problems afterwards. She's taking it well. They will have to screw the 2 vertebrae above and below the broken one to stable her back.and take some bone from her pelvis to graft the surgery site. I thank you once again for being there.

All my prayers go out to her and you. I broke 2 vert about 12 years ago in motorcycle off. It took time and mostly patience to get back on the bike let alone walk properly. The support and strength of friends will go a long way towards the healing. Don't rush it either!

My new rider friend Beth lost control and went down this embankment. She broke a vertebrae and is being flown flight for life to a bigger hospital. I'm worried and feel really scared but I know I have to be strong for her. She never rides with people because she's scared of embarrassing herself. Thank god she called me and wanted me to join or who knows how long she would have been unseen down there.
