New Additions
Been a little bit since I last posted, so here is a sample of things to come.
The previous owner of the 2009 M696 I now own took a little spill. The right side had a few dings that allowed me to get a better purchase price, but I knew I would want to repair them, somehow. Specifically, the exhaust heat shield and wet clutch case had some mean road rash that was a total detractor from the bike. So, I decided to go with a CDT carbon fiber heat shield replacement and the Speedymoto '10 spoke' wet clutch cover in black billet. The heat shield is a straight bolt on with OEM bolts and the clutch cover comes with 4 longer replacement bolts. Torque to factory specs and good to go. No more road rash. Future to-do list is growing, and more carbon is definitely on the list.
A note to anyone looking for carbon fiber pieces -- stay away from Bestem. Their products are very poor quality in all aspects. I'm very pleased with the CDT pieces I have (more to be installed). I also picked up a Carbonvani piece, and while the finish is nice, the mounting tab holes did not align properly and I had to modify them to work. So far, CDT has been perfect with sizing compared to OEM pieces and bolt hole locations.

Thank you! Huge improvement in cosmetics. Should've posted a 'before' pic, but the scratches on the clutch-side were ugly and really jumped out at you.
Nice set up! Like the clutch lever in previous pic too!
I ordered it from Motowheels.com. I signed up for their VIP program because I plan on ordering more things in the future and the cost of the membership is easily covered by the savings you'll see, especially when you get into high-priced items.
