1199 Teardown and Rebuild Demonstration at Ducati Indy 9/15/12
1199 Panigale Engine Teardown and Rebuild Demonstration
Some of you may have seen the 1199 Superquadrata engine at Ducati Island during this year’s Indianapolis MotoGP. The Ducati North America Service team did a live demonstration of a teardown and rebuild of the new ultra short stroke engine during the weekend. This was a great up close opportunity to view the ins and outs of Ducati’s new ultra short stroke 195 Horsepower powerplant. Somehow we highjacked that engine and we have been holding it hostage in the Ducati Indianapolis Service Department since the GP a few weeks ago. Under the terms of a conditional release, Ducati has decided to come back to Indy to liberate this one of a kind engine and offer Ducati fans another look at the most powerful V-twin motorcycle engine ever produced. The 1199 engine seminar will take place on Saturday September 15th from 10 to 4 in the Service Department and will include DNA Technical Director Austin Gray and Midwest Service Area Manager Erik Madsen. It will include a full teardown and rebuild with an overview of key components and their features. There are limited spots available so please call to reserve your spot.
